Chocolate prices may be rising, but M&M’s is still ready to save the day with free candy if hungry trick-or-treaters deplete your carefully curated stash.
For the third year in a row, M&M’s is offering free candy refills on Halloween night through its Halloween Rescue Squad.
How does the program work and what’s new for this year? Read on for all the sweet details.
The M&M’s Halloween Rescue Squad is available for one day only
Starting at 5 p.m. on Oct. 31, the M&M’s Halloween Rescue Squad will mobilize and deliver free candy to households across the country to save them from a candy catastrophe.
Here’s how it works:
- You have to live in a Gopuff delivery area to participate.
- Head to MMS.com/rescue-squad and click “Learn more.”
- Submit your request for a candy refill.
- M&M’s has partnered with Gopuff to delivery candy in under an hour, while supplies last.
What’s new this year?
Treat & Great kits

M&M’s is giving away free “Treat & Greet” kits starting Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. ET, while supplies last. Each kit comes with an M&M’s T-shirt, a festive candy bowl, candy and more. Customers can visit MMS.com/rescue-squad to enter for the chance to win one.
More candy for Friday night Halloween crowds
When Halloween falls on a Friday, like it does this year, there’s inevitably a larger turnout. To prepare for the crowds, M&M’s is giving away “more candy than ever before” this year on Halloween, according to a press release.
“Nothing is scarier than an empty candy bowl on Halloween night, but M&M’S has your back if you run out — so you can keep the FUN and celebrations going,” president of sales and chief Halloween officer at Mars Wrigley North America Tim LeBel said in a statement.
