Laura Dern would never say anything to ruin the friendship.

The “Big Little Lies” star knew exactly how to avoid any potential spoilers when discussing ongoing fan theories that her appearance in Taylor Swift’s “Bejeweled” music video contained easter eggs for the Grammy winner’s latest album “The Life of a Showgirl.

Reacting to speculation over the video — which featured a similar showgirl aesthetic as Taylor’s new record — Dern coyly told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes in an exclusive interview, “I just know that I am so lucky to know Taylor Swift.”

And while the Oscar winner remained tight-lipped on her cameo in “Bejeweled,” off Taylor’s “Midnights” album, she was more than happy to draw a connection between the “Cruel Summer” singer and her Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale”, which is premiering its second season on the platform Nov. 12.

In fact, Dern — who plays feminist activist Linda Shaw in the comedy alongside Allison Janney (Evelyn Rollins), Kristin Wiig (Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons), Carol Burnett (Norma) and Leslie Bibb (Dinah)—believes Taylor’s showgirl persona would have hit it off with another character on the series.

“She would know Evelyn — Allison Janney — who is a showgirl,” the “Jurassic Park” actress said. “They would have been showgirls together.”

On the other hand, however, Dern doesn’t think she would be a member of the show’s titular country club if it existed in real life.

“Palm Royale is like social media,” she explained. “Palm Royale is all our lives now. You either desperately long to achieve being a member of the club, or you keep your eyes on your own paper.”

“You have a choice in life,” Dern added, “and I would not know how to survive.”

As for her other upcoming acting projects? Dern is keeping those under wraps as well — including her return to Monterey, Calif., for the third season of “Big Little Lies.”

Indeed, Dern was only willing to confirm that she and her costars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz are enjoying spending time together.

“We’re obsessed to be together as much as humanly possible,” she teased, “this group of ladies.”

Episode one of “Palm Royale” premieres on Apple TV+ on Nov. 12, with new episodes airing weekly through Jan. 14.

Actress Laura Dern talks about her work with the American Lung Association to get vaping out of schools. Vaping is often marketed as less dangerous than nicotine but still has its risks, she says.
