Jessica Simpson's daughter dressed up as her mom for spirit day: See the outfit

Jessica Simpson’s 6-year-old daughter, Birdie, was tasked with honoring her favorite artist for school spirit week — and she nailed it!

“Bird wanted to dress up as meeeeee,” Simpson, 45, wrote on Instagram.

Birdie fully embraced her mother’s style, sporting oversized rings, denim cutoffs — a nod to Simpson’s iconic 2005 “Dukes of Hazzard” Daisy Duke look — and sparkly silver cowboy boots. To leave no doubt about who she was channeling, she completed the look with a T-shirt featuring her mother’s face from the “Sweet Kisses” album.

For the full effect, Simpson snapped photos of Birdie singing at a microphone, her blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail.

“My youngest can belt her brains out. Like, she has got the power and I don’t know Megadeth or, like, full on gospel, but she’s got the lungs,” Simpson said during a recent appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

Simpson shares three children with former NFL player Eric Johnson: Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie. In January, the couple announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage.

Simpson who took a 15-year break from music, made a long-awaited return with the release of her country-inspired two-part EP series, Nashville Canyon in 2025.

When she performed on “TODAY” in July, Simpson described the process of creating the album as “incredibly healing” in the midst of “heartbreak” and change.

“It was a crazy time for me. My life literally flipped upside down, and I really just had to focus on my purpose, my place in this world and using my voice for the right reasons,” Simpson revealed. “Music saved my life.”

Jessica Simpson performed live for the first time in 15 years during the “American Idol” season finale on Sunday. The songstress joined former contestant Josh King to sing her 2005 hit “These Boots Are Made for Walking” along with a tease of her new song “Blame Me.”

Her kids couldn’t be prouder of their mom for following her heart and chasing her dreams.

“They’ve supported me since I started going out to Nashville,” Simpson said on the Jennifer Hudson Show. “They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy it made me and how much peace it gave me.”
