Taylor Swift is releasing the music video for her single from the upcoming album “The Life of a Showgirl” in movie theaters across the globe.
Swift announced showings of “The Fate of Ophelia” music video premiere in a post on X on Friday, Sept. 19. The pop singer has dubbed the theatrical event, set for Oct. 3 through Oct. 5, “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.”
“I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 — Oct 5 only in cinemas!” she said on social media. “You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single “The Fate of Ophelia”, along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl.”

The show’s runtime will clock in at 89 minutes, according to a release from AMC Theatres.

“Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now,” Swift said. “Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”
The news comes one day after Taylor Nation, the official social media account for the singer’s team, shared footage of Swift appearing to direct something, while wearing an orange cardigan.
In the caption of the post, Taylor Nation called the pop icon “direcTAY.”
Swift announced the title of her 12th studio album just after midnight on Aug. 12 when she posted a clip from the “New Heights” podcast on her social media accounts.
Taylor Swift always knows how to keep her Swifties on their toes. The pop icon revealed on her website that she has a new album coming out called, “The Life Of A Showgirl.”
In the clip, Swift sits next to her fiancé and co-host of the podcast, Travis Kelce, as she says she wants to show him and his fellow co-host, older brother Jason Kelce, something.
“This is my brand new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’” Swift says as both Kelces shout in celebration.
In the full podcast released on Aug. 13, Swift revealed the cover art for the record, which shows her slightly under water in a sparkly swimsuit surrounded by the title in orange letters.
“The Life of a Showgirl” is set to release on Oct. 3.
