British pop star Lola Young says she has to ‘cancel everything' after onstage collapse

Following her collapse onstage in New York City last week, British pop star Lola Young announced she is taking a break from her career to prioritize her well being.

“I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,” the 24-year old singer-songwriter wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The artist went on to add, “I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.”

Young’s announcement comes after she collapsed during a live performance in New York City on Saturday.

On Friday, Young’s manager Nick Shymansky posted on Young’s Instagram story announcing the cancellation of her performance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert, according to E! News. The show was set to take place later that evening.

On Saturday, Young appeared at the All Things Go festival at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City, where she fainted mid-performance.

Following her onstage health incident, Young canceled her Sunday appearance at the All Things Go Music Festival in Washington, D.C., just hours before she was set to perform.
