Keith Menin sells Miami-Dade taco joint spaces for a gain

Keith Menin made gains selling a pair of commercial spaces in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove leased to his Bodega Taqueria y Tequila chain.

An entity controlled by Menin, a Miami Beach-based real estate investor, recently sold a single-story building with two retail units at 315-317 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables for $5.1 million, according to a Comras Company spokesperson.

Comras Company’s Michael Silverman and Jeff Evens represented the seller. Azora Private Solutions represented the buyer, an entity managed by Rodrigo Ignacio Guerrero Falcon in Coral Gables, the Comras spokesperson said.

Falcon’s entity paid $1.4 million above the previous sale price from two years ago. Menin’s entity acquired the property for $3.7 million in 2023, records show. Comras also represented Menin when he purchased the building.

Bodega and one other tenant, Goodvets, are signed to long-term leases, the Comras spokesperson said.

Silverman and Evens also brokered the recent sale of a two-story commercial building at 3419 Main Highway in Coconut Grove on behalf of Menin. In 2021, a Menin entity paid $4.2 million for the 3,315-square-foot space, records show.

Last month, an entity managed by Arquitectonica co-founder Laurinda Spear and her children, some of whom are executives at her Coconut Grove-based architecture firm, bought the building at 3419 Main Highway for $6.5 million. They paid $2.3 million above the previous sale price, records show. The building is occupied by Bodega under a long-term lease, the Comras spokesperson said.

Bodega is owned by Miami Beach-based Menin Hospitality, which is led by Menin and his cousin, Jared Galbut. The chain has nine restaurants and bars in South Florida, Chicago and Washington D.C., Bodega’s website shows.

Menin Hospitality also owns four Miami and Miami Beach hotels, including the Shelbourne South Beach. Menin started in commercial real estate as a teenager working for Crescent Heights, the Miami-based development firm co-founded by another cousin, Russell Galbut. Menin is also a consultant to the Galbut family’s GFO Investments.
