Premier Estate Properties inked a lease for its second office in Palm Beach.
The Bankers Row office will be led by top agent Margit Brandt and will be just for her team, according to a press release. Brandt joined Premier in 2022, and since then has closed more than $1 billion in sales, the release shows. After launching her career on the island with Brown Harris Stevens in 2019, she quickly climbed the ranks of Palm Beach’s top agents. She placed fifth in The Real Deal’s 2024 Palm Beach County broker ranking with $319.3 million in on-market sales. With a team of five support staff, she said she’d outgrown Premier’s office at 125 Worth Avenue.
Aside from wanting a central home base for her team, Brandt said the move will provide a discreet space for her high-profile clients, away from the prying eyes of shoppers and tourists on Palm Beach’s prime retail strip.
Premier signed a four-year lease for the 1,550-square-foot office at 230 Royal Palm Way, an office corridor on the island where many hedge funds, private equity firms and banks have set up shop –– hence the nickname, Bankers Row. Last year, a study by JLL found Royal Palm Way was the third-most expensive street for commercial rents in the country, with an average asking rent of $134 per square foot.
The lease starts Aug. 1, and Brandt has tapped an interior designer to renovate the space. The office will likely open in early autumn, she said.
Premier, a Boca Raton-based brokerage led by Carmen D’Angelo and brothers Joe and Gerry Liguori, opened its first Palm Beach office seven years ago. Premier agents brought the buyers for Florida’s two most expensive home sales last year: Brandt represented Australian infrastructure investor Michael Dorrell in his $150 million purchase of Tarpon Island; and Jim McCann represented Daren Metropoulos in his $148 million buy of the oceanfront estate known as Casa Amado.
D’Angelo, Liguori and Liguori said they’re excited to be opening this “lucky” seventh office. They said they are always speaking with top agents, but are in no rush to grow.
“I think at this point we’re satisfied with seven offices,” D’Angelo said.
In addition to Palm Beach, Premier has two offices in Boca Raton, one in Fort Lauderdale, one in Vero Beach, and a Delray Beach office it opened last year.
In other recent Palm Beach brokerage news, Ryan Serhant’s namesake firm landed an office on the island. Recent recruit Gary Pohrer is leading the office after decamping from Douglas Elliman in May.
