It looks like JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez didn’t leave their love island on the best of terms.

Shortly after the “Love Island USA” season six alums confirmed their breakup following a year of dating, several of their costars spoke out on the split, alleging that Rodriguez’s behavior was the reason they parted ways.

From the vantage point of Craig’s friend Leah Kateb — who appeared alongside the former couple on the sixth installment of the reality series in 2024 — the dissolution of their romance was allegedly tied to his lack of honesty.

Addressing Rodriguez directly, the 25-year-old wrote in an Instagram Story July 29, “Tell the truth for once!”

Additionally alleging that Rodriguez is “clout/money hungry and a scammer,” Kateb went on to accuse him of trying to make his breakup with Craig “seem like it’s something it’s not.”

And their fellow season six costar Olivia Walker shared a similar perspective on the situation.

“Your pathetic excuse for a story is laughable,” she said of Rodriguez in July 29 Instagram Story. “I can’t even put into words how good of a person naynay is and how hard it is to watch her go through something like this.”

Closing out her message, Walker emphasized that she believes Rodriguez was chasing fame, writing, “I hope this gives you the clout you always wanted you f—— loser.”

And that’s not the only insight fans have been given into what may have gone wrong with Craig, 28, and Rodriguez, 25, who first sparked breakup speculation after rumors spread that they had unfollowed each other July 27 after attending David Dobrik’s birthday party. In fact, the pair were sharing videos of them having fun at the party up until 10 p.m., leading fans to believe something went down after that point in time.

Craig herself provided a glimpse into why she believes their relationship came to a sudden end.

“Discovering someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were,” the 28-year-old said in a July 29 Instagram Story, “and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.”

In fact, Craig alleged that the rumors she’s seen circulating about the breakup don’t even come close to the ordeal she experienced. As she put it, “Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is.”

Describing Rodriguez as a “manipulative liar,” Craig added in a second Instagram Story that he wasn’t “taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are.”

And while Rodriguez has yet to address his castmates’ accusations directly, he has offered his own perspective on his and Craig’s split, saying that he wants nothing but the best for his former partner.

“Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term,” he wrote on Instagram July 29. “I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created.”

Rodriguez added, “I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that Craig’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”
