Lindsay Lohan’s life in Dubai is so fetch.
More than 10 years after the “Mean Girls” star moved to the United Arab Emirates city, she reflected on why she feels more at ease living there with her husband Bader Shammas and their 2-year-old son Luai.
“It’s just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life,” Lohan said during a July 29 appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark. “There’s no worry of like, ‘I can’t go eat at this place ‘cause someone’s gonna take a picture of my son.’ I feel very safe.”
In fact, the 39-year-old explained that she doesn’t have to worry about herself or her family being photographed in Dubai thanks to the city’s surprising laws.
“It’s not legal,” Lohan continued. “You can’t take a picture of someone else if you’re in a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here.”
As she noted, “Privacy is key.”
But while the “Parent Trap” actress feels at peace in Dubai with her husband — whom she married in 2022 after meeting at a restaurant there — she isn’t immune from some of the other challenges of parenting, including getting some light teasing from her toddler.

“I have this thing, where I’m like, ‘Luai, don’t do that,'” Lohan told E! News earlier this month. “And this morning before I was going to say it, he’s like, ‘Don’t do that, Luai,’ and looked at me and I was like, ‘Oh my god, he’s mocking me.'”
Plus, he keeps her constantly busy. “He runs!” Lohan added. “Fast, out of that house. He’s like, ‘Outside!’ Gone.”
But would the “Freaky Friday” star be eager to switch spots with her 2-year-old, like she does with costar Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie’s upcoming sequel?
“I’m not in that position with my son yet,” Lohan said. “He’s still a toddler.”
