The British Royal family might possibly have eyes everywhere. Fortunately, they were all in good humor when two British reality stars broke out in a viral TikTok dance that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, recently posted about.
Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo are two media personalities who recently announced their pregnancy. On June 25, Laing shared a post on Instagram featuring a brief video clip of their trip to Buckingham Palace, where the couple showcased Habboo’s baby bump with a dance.
“They said we couldn’t film in Buckingham Palace…” the post reads.
In the video Laing and Habboo do a little two-step to the sound of “The Baby Momma Dance,” the viral song by Starrkeisha.
The post was a cheeky nod to the former Meghan Markle’s Instagram post in early June, which showed her dancing in a delivery room alongside her husband, Prince Harry, ahead of giving birth to their daughter Lilibet.
While the British royal family remained mum in the comments of Meghan’s post, they did have a sly reply to Laing’s video.
“We see you,” the Royal Family official Instagram account wrote alongside a side eye and winking emoji.
Since being posted on Instagram on June 4, Meghan’s video has received over 54 million views.
“Four years ago today, this also happened,” the caption reads. “Both of our children were a week past their due dates … so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work — there was only one thing left to do!”
During a June 17 episode of the “Aspire with Emma Grede” podcast, Meghan reflected on her decision to share the video.
“By the way, that wasn’t yesterday,” she explained. “That was four years ago. So it’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life — a real, authentic, fun life — that’s happening behind the scenes.”
“I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms,” she added.
