Movers & Shakers: Bainbridge Companies taps facilities VP


In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, firms made leadership moves.

Wellington-based Bainbridge Companies hired Kevin Kochersperger as vice president of facilities, according to a press release. Kochersperger joins the firm from his previous role as director of facilities management for the city of Fort Lauderdale. In his new position, Kochersperger will lead capital improvement initiatives, oversee renovation projects, and manage daily maintenance operations across the firm’s portfolio, the release shows.

The news follows the February announcement that Bainbridge promoted Brian Doppelt to executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Fort Lauderdale-based developer Alexander Goshen brought in Kayon Henderson as chief operating officer and Verlyn Foley as vice president of affordable housing, according to a press release. 

In her new role, Henderson will oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations and help drive growth, the release shows. She was previously a housing and community development manager with the city of Tampa for 12 years, the release shows.

Foley was previously president and founder of VOB Development in Atlanta, the release shows. In her position at Alexander Goshen, she will lead development and execution of affordable housing initiatives in Florida and other markets.

In Boca Raton, Tinka Ellington and her namesake team joined Compass, according to a press release. Ellington’s team totals seven agents, and they have closed more than $254 million in career sales volume. The team’s markets include Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Highland Beach, Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach.

Toronto-based brokerage, Rare Real Estate, led by founders Ryan Rabinovich and Adam Stern and partner Brett Starke, has expanded to South Florida, according to a press release. The firm opened an office on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, the release shows.

Serhant also announced it brought in agent Alvaro Garcia to its new development team, according to a press release. He will be working on the 29 Indian Creek sales team, the release shows.
