South Florida real estate firms made big moves in the latest roundup of hiring news.
Barry Sternlicht’s Miami Beach-based Starwood Capital Group named Goldman Sachs alumnus Nora Creedon as CEO of its REIT division, according to a press release. Creedon is succeeding Sean Harris in the role, which will take effect in July, the release shows.
Creedon spent the last 15 years with Goldman, where has been a managing director in the bank’s private real estate investment group. She also served as CEO and president of GS REIT, according to the release.
Ryan Companies tapped Patrick Chesser as its Southeast regional president, according to a press release. Chesser comes to the Atlanta-based commercial real estate services firm from Mill Creek Residential Trust, where he worked for nearly five years as senior managing director.
In his new role, Chesser will oversee industrial, health care, multifamily, senior living, office and educational sectors in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina, according to the release.
In Miami, KW Property Management & Consulting (KWPMC) promoted Jorge Larrieu Jr. to director of sales, a press release shows. The move followed the news last month of three executive promotions at the firm. Swedish property manager Odevo acquired KWPMC in 2022, and since then has hired a slate of fresh faces in the C-suite and beyond.
Larrieu started with KWPMC in 2020 as general manager of Park Grove, the luxury complex in Coconut Grove developed by Terra and the Related Group.
Also in Miami, Haber Law appointed Dan Levin and Jacob Epstein as co-chairs of its construction law practice, a press release shows. Levin is based in the firm’s Palm Beach Gardens office, and Epstein is based in its Wynwood office. The appointment is part of an effort to grow the firm’s construction law practice across South Florida markets, according to the release.
Real estate attorney Nancy Conicella is joining Weiss Law as a senior counsel, according to a press release. The law firm, based in Miami and Boca Raton, focuses on real estate transactions, corporate affairs and general counsel services. Conicella joins Weiss from Unison Infrastructure, where she was in-house counsel for two years, according to LinkedIn.
In Palm Beach County, Brian Fairweather and Alexa Hammer are joining One Sotheby’s International Realty, according to a press release. Fairweather is departing his position as a partner at the Agency’s Palm Beach office, which opened in 2023. Hammer was also previously with the Agency.
The duo have closed more than $1 billion in deals since 2016, according to the release.
In Miami broker moves, Julio Ospino is returning to RelatedISG Realty after nearly four years with eXp Realty, a press release shows. Ospino previously worked with RelatedISG from 2016 to 2020. He will be leading a team of 30 in his new role with RelatedISG.
