Broward weekly condo sales hit $41M

Broward County’s condo sales and dollar volume rose last week, led by a Hallandale Beach closing.

Brokers closed 131 condo sales totaling $41.4 million from May 11 to May 18. The previous week, brokers closed 115 condo sales totaling $37.5 million.

Last week’s units sold for an average of $316,079, lower than the $325,860 average price from the previous week. The average price per square foot fell to $249 from $273, according to data from Redfin.

For the top 10 sales, prices ranged from $775,000 to $2.3 million.

Unit 4402 at Beach Club Hallandale, at 1830 South Ocean Drive in Hallandale Beach, took the top spot with a $2.3 million closing. The sale closed at $1,090 per square foot after 100 days on market.

Beata Hill with Optimar International Realty had the listing, and Diana Rodriguez with the Keyes Company represented the buyer.

Unit 301 at Aquavue, at 133 Isle of Venice Drive in Fort Lauderdale, closed for the second highest amount, $1.9 million, or $654 per square foot, after 224 days on market.

Karen Bellows with Florida Luxurious Properties had the listing, and Scott Roberts with First Colonial Realty represented the buyer.
