Widow sells oceanfront Palm Beach house for $27M, down from $39M asking price

A widow sold her oceanfront house in Palm Beach for $26.7 million, down from the $39 million she listed it for over a year ago.

Records show Tiffany Cloutier sold the home at 240 North Ocean Boulevard to Dune Boggle LLC, a Delaware entity. The true buyer is unknown.

Jack Rooney with Douglas Elliman and Elizabeth DeWoody with Compass had the listing, and Dana Koch with the Corcoran Group brought the buyer. He declined to comment on the buyer’s identity.

Cloutier is the widow of George Cloutier, the founder of Orlando-based American Management Services, a growth strategy consultancy focused on small and mid-size businesses, according to published reports. He died in 2022.

Records show he bought the North Ocean Boulevard house for $5.4 million in 2003. It was built on nearly half an acre in 1992 and spans 5,400 square feet, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, according to property records. The property also includes a 100-foot-wide oceanfront parcel.

Koch confirmed the home will be updated, but declined to comment on his client’s plans for the property.

Cloutier first listed it for $39 million in November 2023, at the start of last year’s busy season. It was relisted for $38 million this past November, and the price dropped to $34.5 million in January. Aspirational pricing has gummed up the ultra-luxury market in South Florida in recent years, leading to long days on the market for certain properties. Price cuts help to grease the wheels and close big deals.

On the other hand, homes priced well sell quickly, agents say. Earlier this month, designer Regine Traulsen and her husband, Bill Diamond, sold their Palm Beach home for $16.2 million, after listing it for $17 million in January.

Other recent Palm Beach deals include billionaire media mogul Ric Elias’ off-market sale of his oceanfront mansion for $73 million last month. Also last month, a scion of Palm Beach’s Maddock family sold an oceanfront teardown for $31 million.
