Spec developer Alex Pirez’s Mocca Group sold a spec mansion in Ponce-Davis for $14.5 million.
Records show an affiliate of Mocca Group managed by Pirez sold the house at 4820 Southwest 86th Terrace in unincorporated Miami-Dade County to Jay R. Schreibman.
Pirez, who is licensed with Mocca Realty, had the listing.
Schreibman is the area chairman for Gallagher, a Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm. Records show he sold a condo at Four Seasons Residences at the Surf Club in Surfside for $14.5 million in June.
Pirez is a prolific spec developer in Miami-Dade County. In August, Pirez bought a waterfront 1-acre lot in Coral Gables from Goya Foods scion Francisco R. Unanue for $18.5 million. Last year he sold a non-waterfront spec mansion, also in Coral Gables, for $21 million. Last month, he bought a waterfront teardown in Gables Estates for $10.5 million.
He bought the 0.9-acre Ponce-Davis property for $2 million in 2020, according to property records. He completed the 7,900-square-foot home this year, records show. It includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-bathrooms and a pool, records and the listing show.
It hit the market in December for $14.9 million, according to Redfin.
Ponce-Davis has grown in prominence among Miami’s luxury neighborhoods in recent years. Last year, the head of a marketing firm sold his mansion for $15.8 million. In 2023, self-storage mogul Jay Massirman bought a non-waterfront mansion for $8.5 million.
