A person has been taken into custody in Plantation after fleeing a crash in Sunrise that left a Lauderhill police officer and a woman injured, authorities said.

The driver allegedly ran over the officer and the woman twice with his vehicle near Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 47th Avenue before fleeing the scene.

Police launched a search that led to Plantation, where the driver was taken into custody.

Images from Chopper 4 showed at least 10 officers at the scene of the arrest. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, though their conditions remain unknown.

Authorities are investigating multiple crime scenes.

The Sunrise and Lauderhill police departments are expected to release more details.
