MIAMI – A boy was rescued after nearly drowning in a pool Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lauderhill Police Department.
Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to 2360 NW 56th Avenue, where witnesses said the boy had been drowning before staff at the apartment complex pulled him from the water.
The child was unconscious but breathing when officers arrived.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue transported him to Broward Health Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
