French Montana buyer of oceanfront Golden Beach home

French Montana is the buyer of an oceanfront Golden Beach home that recently sold for $22 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The Moroccan-American rapper, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, acquired a 7,300-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-bathroom house on Ocean Boulevard, according to sources. A trust purchased the home and financed the deal with a $16.5 million mortgage from Amerant Bank.

Montana, who has collaborated with Rick Ross, Drake, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat and Swae Lee, founded the record label Coke Boys Records in 2008.

Daniel Gonzalez, owner of Glamorous Life Cosmetic Surgery in Miami, sold the property after buying a larger mansion nearby, records show.

Retired radio show host Tom Joyner previously owned the home. The 0.3-acre property was developed in 2007. Joyner completed an extensive renovation of the home with architect Wesley Kean of KoDA, landscape architecture firm Enea, and interior designer Deborah Wecselman. It was featured in Architectural Digest.

Alexander Goldstein and Alejandro Victores of Miles Goldstein Real Estate represented the seller in the latest trade. Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp LLC represented the buyer. The agents all declined to comment.

Golden Beach has seen a slight uptick in activity at the high end of the market. Last month, Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of Doral-based cell phone company BLU Products, and his wife, Michelle Bittman, sold their oceanfront mansion for $34 million. That’s the home Gonzalez purchased.
