MIAMI – Sunrise police detectives are investigating after a car was pulled from a canal on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities had set up a tent covering the newer-model black Honda Civic near a shopping center on the 8300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard in Sunrise.
CBS News Miami’s Anna McAllister reported from the scene that someone had been found inside the vehicle.
The Honda Civic reportedly belongs to a person who was recently reported missing.
McAllister spoke to one woman who was at the scene and watched everything as it unfolded.
“Definitely two bodies got pulled out. So, right now they’re in the front seat. That’s why they blocking off everything. So, they won’t be able to see anything else. But so far, that’s all we saw.”
Sunrise police have not yet confirmed if this car is connected to that missing person’s case.
