HOLLYWOOD – Multiple cars had their windows smashed and were burglarized at a Hollywood apartment complex overnight.
Police said they received their first call about someone breaking into cars in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Court just before 2:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they learned that one of the residents confronted the car burglars and at one point fired their gun, according to police.
The car burglars ran off. No injuries were reported.
