MIAMI — An investigation is underway after a man and woman died following an apparent murder-suicide that happened at a Northwest Miami-Dade home on Saturday morning.
Miami-Dade Police told CBS News Miami that the man, 40, and woman, 39, got into a fight at 12460 W. Randall Park Dr. around 8:30 a.m. The fight soon escalated to the point where the man shot and killed the woman before killing himself.
Police also noted that three children — ages 9, 13 and 15, respectively — were inside the home when the shooting happened.
Police told CBS News Miami that other family members are helping the children. The youngest child was taken to the hospital as a precaution with a grandfather.
Police also said that the man and woman had been separated for months and there has been no recorded history of domestic violence.
