Quarterman, who also serves as principal of MEYGA, mentioned she grew up in the same community that the finding out middle serves: Liberty Town. Points she witnessed and went through in her local community encouraged her to do additional.

Quarterman initially established MEYGA as a mentoring and after-university system, providing young children who lived in Liberty Square a harmless space to go. That now has developed into schooling for youngsters and enable for their people. 

“We’re paying rent, we’re coming up to shell out light bills, we are assisting out with foods vouchers, we do not have a line of funding for that,” she claimed. “But, this is the need to have.”

Mothers and fathers say MEYGA has been lifestyle-modifying for their young children who generally struggled in a community faculty.
