NEW YORK – A 4.7 earthquake rattled New York Town and the bordering area Friday morning.
It happened at around 10:20 a.m.
The quake was centered in close proximity to Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, 40 miles west of New York Town, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
So significantly, there have been no reviews of harm.

The impact was felt all over the Tri-Condition Location. Reports of structures shaking and rattling came in from New Jersey to Extended Island.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York Metropolis Mayor Adams have been briefed on the quake.
“My crew is examining impacts and any problems that might have happened, and we will update the community throughout the working day,” Hochul wrote on X.
“I was laying in my mattress, and my complete apartment setting up started off shaking. I commenced freaking out,” a person New York City resident told CBS New York’s Elijah Westbrook.
