MIAMI — CBS News Miami’s Jim DeFede goes 1-on-a single with the president of the Miami-Dade Schooling Coalition, a team hoping to swap the instructors union in Miami-Dade County.
The United Lecturers of Dade is experiencing a challenge to its existence since it unsuccessful to satisfy the 60% threshold of dues-paying out members. The Republican-controlled Florida legislature elevated that threshold from 50% to weaken and undermine unions statewide.
