MIAMI — The son of an Israeli diplomat, who was arrested for allegedly jogging about a Sunny Isles Beach Police officer with his bike, was involved in an altercation in jail.
According to Miami-Dade Corrections, an “incident” took place involving two inmates in their custody. The company confirmed to CBS Information Miami that just one of the inmates was none other than 19-yr-outdated Avraham Gil, the son of a consular officer at the Israeli Consulate.
The particulars of just what transpired continue being unidentified at this time.
“MDCR can take all functions of violence in the jail very critically and Correctional Team took action to minimize the steps of those perpetrators intent on committing harm,” a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Corrections mentioned. “Also, the Miami-Dade Police Section was contacted and added an extra demand to the inmate in custody.”
Gil is accused of working down a Sunny Isles Seashore Law enforcement officer on his motorcycle back in January, leaving him injured when he was dealing with a traffic cease.
When he appeared in bond court in February, he tried out to declare diplomatic immunity from the case because of to his status as a baby of a diplomatic formal having said that, the Miami-Dade Condition Attorney’s Workplace claimed that neither Gil nor his father had diplomatic immunity.
