SEBRING, Florida — The Highlands County Sheriff’s Business office responded to an evident murder-suicide at a healthcare facility on Thursday morning.
According to HCSO, deputies responded to AdventHealth Sebring at 11:26 a.m. just after studies of an energetic shooter condition. There, officials located a father and son lifeless.
Deputies say a 66-calendar year-old Sebring male introduced his adult son, who was reportedly remaining fairly combative, to the clinic. The moment at the crisis space, officials say the son was positioned in a psychological health place.
Inside of that area, deputies say the father pulled out a handgun and fired shots into the wall — an apparent endeavor to get other folks out of the place, in accordance to deputies. The gentleman proceeded to shoot his son who was lying in bed, then shot himself.
Deputies say equally men were lifeless when they bought to the scene.
Officials have not described any other injuries.
The clinic was placed on lockdown and started diverting EMS visitors to a nearby facility.
