MIAMI – A Monroe County Sheriff’s Place of work deputy was forced to shoot a female they mentioned pointed a gun at them on Monday morning, according to authorities.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office claimed the female, armed with a stolen handgun, pointed the weapon at deputies forcing them to open up fireplace.
It took place shortly in advance of 5:30 a.m., as deputies responded to a call involving a “suicidal juvenile with a stolen firearm.”
Authorities claimed she broke off an connected lock on the gun and walked to a remote place on Inventory Island.
“The juvenile was pronounced useless at Decrease Keys Health care Middle,” deputies stated.
“This incident is a tragedy for absolutely everyone associated,” stated Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “Whilst the deputy seems to have acted in self-defense. I have questioned the Florida Office of Legislation Enforcement to carry out an independent investigation to be certain transparency.”
