FORT LAUDERDALE — Although sipping coffee on his dock Sunday morning, Steven Jacobson imagined he noticed a significant doggy on the other side of the Center River in the back again of a Wilton Manors Airbnb.
But when he took a cellphone movie and got a nearer search, he realized it was not a puppy but a coyote. He saw the similar coyote later on that afternoon on an adjacent house.
“I want the general public to know how considerably east they’ve appear,” he stated.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), coyotes have been spotted in all 67 Florida counties. And, although quite a few sightings are noted in West Broward, it truly is not typically you hear of a sighting far east.
Jacobson lives just ft from Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale — a household community. He notified Wilton Manors Law enforcement on their non-emergency line and reported police advised him that they had heard of other sightings.
