PEMBROKE PARK — A police pursuit was underway in a Broward County community on Friday afternoon.
Chopper 4 was around the scene in Pembroke Park, in which online video confirmed a silver sedan driving west on Pembroke Road soon after fleeing pursuing police vehicles from Interstate 95. It is unclear at this time whether the chase commenced on I-95, but law enforcement instructed CBS Information Miami that the pursuit commenced following a contact came in about a stolen automobile.
The vehicle then drove into a residential location. At this point, a man or woman appeared to have popped out of the rear driver window for a quick interval in advance of returning inside of the auto.
Soon immediately after, a black law enforcement car or truck done a maneuver in an try to slow down the automobile. On the other hand, the car or truck ongoing, only hitting what appeared to be a mailbox ahead of resuming driving.
Adhering to that, other law enforcement caught up to the sedan and black car and cornered the sedan, where at minimum two folks exited the automobile as officers stopped them and took them into custody in a grassy off-shoulder on Southwest 25th Avenue and 38th Avenue in West Park.
As law enforcement ended up arresting the suspects, some house owners arrived outdoors to see what was likely on in their community but were being directed by officers to phase away from the scene.
