MIAMI – It was a fiery mess Thursday morning on the Turnpike Extension that snarled traffic for hours.
In accordance to the Florida Freeway Patrol, the driver of a tractor trailer was heading south when they shed control close to I-75 and collided with 7 other automobiles.
Soon after the collection of crashes, the truck slammed into the median concrete barrier wall, overturned, and caught on fireplace.
A full of five persons were being hurt. Four were being assessed on the scene and a person was airlifted to a hospital.
The lanes of the Turnpike Extension had been shut at I-75 as firefighters battled the flames.
At 11 a.m., southbound targeted traffic was becoming diverted to the northbound I-75 ramp and two northbound lanes remained blocked.
