FORT LAUDERDALE – Clear up is underway after Sunday’s rain and a blocked drain prompted a partial ceiling collapse at a Tamarac setting up.

It happened at the Bermuda Club apartments in the 6200 block of NW 57th Avenue. The residence manager stated the roof drain blockage was triggered by a large beehive.

Belen has lived in her unit for two several years.

“I was prepared to lie down and I noticed dripping drinking water and then I observed in front of my eyes that the roof collapsed. That’s it, soon after that, I screamed,” she stated.

When the ceiling in her bedroom caved in, h2o began pouring in.

“The drinking water was much more than two inches at our toes,” she claimed.

Two of her neighbors described equivalent drinking water difficulties. Belen reported the collapse came as a surprise.

“This is the first time, I’ve never even found any markings on the ceiling or everything that there is h2o hurt, absolutely nothing,” she mentioned.

A restoration enterprise was identified as in to deal with the harm and dry out the residences.

Max Silovitz with ServPro reported the collapse and drinking water caused a large mess for the tenants.

“Not superior. A great deal of them are aged. The spouse and children had to come get them. Not absolutely sure the place they’re heading to go. Not entertaining moments but that is why we’re right here to support and ideally, they will be back within quickly,” he stated.

The beehive was removed on Monday.

The property administration enterprise, Following Technology House Management, just took in excess of the setting up in Oct.
