Fifty percent MOON BAY — Authorities identified a 50-year-old Florida male who is suspected of stealing a tiny plane from Palo Alto Airport on Thursday, ditching it on a seashore near Half Moon Bay and walking absent.

Luiz Gustavo Aires, of Miami, reportedly landed the airplane just south of Poplar Beach about 5 p.m., the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office reported.

When deputies arrived, the plane was intact and unoccupied.

A shorter time later on, a man matching Aires’ description was taken into custody in Fifty percent Moon Bay. The sheriff’s place of work is working with Palo Alto law enforcement on the theft and recovery of the plane.

Aires was booked into the most important jail in Redwood Town on suspicion of theft of an airplane.

As of 9 p.m. the plane was continue to on the beach.
