MIAMI – A federal choose has denied Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo‘s request for a new demo or to cut down the amount he was purchased to pay back in a federal lawsuit.
Back in June, Carollo was purchased to shell out $63.5 million immediately after a jury located him responsible of violating the Very first Amendment rights of two nearby businessmen who supported Carollo’s political opponent.
The decide preserved that the trial’s verdict was supported by proof and would stand.
Carollo’s ask for for a further trial was also turned down.
This will come as Carollo faces the likelihood of his Coconut Grove house staying auctioned to pay out off a part of the multi-million greenback verdict.
