FORT LAUDERDALE – A man died immediately after he drove off a Turnpike ramp in North Lauderdale and ended up in a retention pond.
In accordance to the Florida Freeway Patrol, the male was in a Hyundai Sonata on the southbound ramp from the Turnpike to Business Boulevard and unsuccessful to navigate the convert.
As the roadway began to curve west, he ongoing heading. He then crossed the median, strike a sign, and went uphill in excess of an embankment. The car then went airborne, traveled about the entrance ramp lane and shoulder, and landed in a retention pond.
The vehicle sank into the pond. Law enforcement divers were being called in and ended up able to retrieve the man’s entire body from the car. The FHP has not launched his title mainly because his family members had not been notified.
