LAUDERHILL – Tears very well up in Brittany Bucknor‘s eyes as she talks about her 19-yr-outdated daughter Future.
“She was comprehensive of lifestyle. She was a satisfied child, a content child growing up, she was a sweetheart. She designed absolutely sure that if she could assist you, she would,” said Brittany while speaking about her daughter.
Destiny is Brittany’s oldest child and her only daughter.
Their birthdays are just 3 days apart. But this calendar year, Destiny will never be dwelling to celebrate. Rather, Brittany will have to push throughout the road from her condominium to go to Destiny at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
“When the dust settles, you know, and soon after the funeral preparations and all the things comes about, you have to form of like confront it, you know, by you,” Brittany claimed.
Law enforcement claimed Future was riding close to in a Slingshot bike with a family members member the night time of the Fourth of July. As they ended up driving around NW 8th Road & NW 29th Terrace in Fort Lauderdale, tragedy struck.
“We obtained a report of a feminine who was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound and that female was pronounced deceased,” reported Claudine Caro with Broward County Sheriff’s Office environment.
It was the moment that transformed Brittany’s everyday living permanently.
“I imagined they had the improper human being, the incorrect child. It was verified that Future was shot and was no more time with us.”
Destiny Bucknor, a younger girl with so much to stay for, is gone.
“I never know how to describe it. You know, losing a baby is not quick. And, any dad or mum who’s shed a little one or any relatives member — it normally takes time. You have your excellent and your undesirable times. It just requires time,” Brittany mentioned.
Law enforcement are asking for the neighborhood to move up.
“It could take place to any of us and surely if you set your self in a victim’s family’s predicament, you would certainly respect an individual who may well know something to enable detectives in solving a case,” Caro stated.
And, a grieving mother is asking for justice.
“She was a quite sweet woman, she was harmless,” Brittany explained. “She didn’t deserve that.”
