MIAMI – A Broward jail worker is on paid depart right after a mentally sick inmate died by suicide.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office environment suggests they are investigating how 43-year-aged Alvin Modeste suffocated himself inside the jail.
He died Wednesday.
“The parallels are extremely distinct: It is a level of supervision that is missing in that jail,” reported community defender Gordon Weekes. He wrote a letter to the sheriff with strong criticism and recommendations.
