MIAMI GARDENS — A teenage boy died Saturday evening immediately after he was shot in the head though a group of children had been enjoying inside of of a Miami-Dade house.
Miami Gardens Police instructed CBS News Miami’s Nikiya Carrero that the incident occurred around 7:39 p.m. at a dwelling in the location of Northwest 207th Street and 37th Avenue. According to police, there had been numerous young children inside of of a bedroom playing online video game titles when somebody experienced a gun.
“Officers responded at close to [7:40 p.m.] to uncover a juvenile male struggling from a gunshot wound to the back of the head,” stated MGPD Sgt. Emmanuel Jeanty. “As of appropriate now, it appears that there were youngsters enjoying with a firearm. The investigation is continue to in its early levels.”
The boy, 13, was then airlifted to Joe DiMaggio Hospital in crucial problem. Law enforcement also mentioned that there was an grownup in the household at the time of the incident. Police afterwards verified to CBS Information Miami that the boy died.
The incident is still less than investigation.
