PARKLAND, FLA. (WSVN) – A South Florida business launched by a Important League Baseball professional held a walk to support young children dwelling with cancer and the facilities that are managing them.
The Anthony Rizzo Relatives Foundation held its 12th yearly Walk-Off for Most cancers in Parkland, Sunday morning.
Much more than 1,000 people today walked to help sites like Joe DiMaggio Children’s Medical center.
Anthony Rizzo, a very first baseman for the New York Yankees, survived cancer when he was a teen. He mentioned he is committed to supporting children who are battling the sickness.
“Whether it is sending foods or doing various functions at the hospitals, donating toys and whatnot, offers,” he explained, “but for the kids, I just hope that they know that there’s a large amount of persons supporting them at all instances, and that when they are emotion down, to check out and elevate them up any way we can”
The party raised $1.3 million for pediatric cancer households and services.
