Former Los Angeles Laker, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was taken to a healthcare facility immediately after he fell and shattered his hip at a Los Angeles concert Friday night, according to a number of shops.
TMZ was the initial to report the accident, indicating that paramedics rushed the 7-foot-2, 76-calendar year-outdated basketball legend to the hospital. It is not recognized what concert he was attending, or where.
This professional medical emergency arrives a few several years after Abdul-Jabbar uncovered he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and beaten it, and was battling long-term myeloid leukemia.
Abdul-Jabbar, who was born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr, is recognized as a single of the NBA’s greats, with the former heart publishing the next-optimum all-time points complete at the rear of LeBron James.
He retired from the activity in 1989 at the age of 42 with a multitude of documents to his name and remains the all-time chief in minutes performed and industry ambitions designed.
