Rep. Jim Mooney, R-Islamorada, and Rep. Linda Chaney, R-St. Pete Seashore, submitted a invoice (HB 753) this 7 days that would designate the American flamingo as Florida state hen.
The designation would get the put of the mockingbird, which was permitted in 1927, according to the bill.
