FORT LAUDERDALE — A girl who was uncovered to have collected more than 60 cats — all living in deplorable problems — was purchased Wednesday to serve 3 several years in prison following remaining convicted on animal cruelty rates.
Michelline Toulouse, 39, was convicted pursuing a demo that provided a number of several hours of testimony in which the girl was alleged to have saved above 60 cats in her Sunrise condominium prior to she deserted the animals.
The female had pleaded no contest to the 12 aggravated animal cruelty charges that had been submitted in opposition to her.
In May possibly 2021, animal rescue officials who went to Toulouse’s house found at least five dozen cats in the residence, together with nine that had died. Several many others have been discovered to be malnourished or suffering from other wellness-linked challenges, in accordance to officials.

Broward Circuit Choose Ari Porth sentenced Toulouse to a 3-year prison sentence, which would be adopted by 10 years of psychological health probation.
