Lauderhill police exploring for theft suspect who fled though being arrested


FORT  LAUDERDALE — Law enforcement in Lauderhill were looking Friday for a theft suspect who ran from officers although becoming taken into custody, officials mentioned.

Gerald Pendergrass, 31, was getting arrested on an aggravated retail theft warrant out of Palm Beach County all-around 9  p.m. in the 3800 block of NW 4th Place, in accordance to a written assertion from Lauderhill police   

Investigators reported Pendergrass managed to elude the officer whilst he was becoming transported to a vehicle and fled from the scene.

Pendergrass has prior arrests in Broward County, according to court docket information.
