SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE — Firefighters contained a 5-acre grass hearth in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday afternoon.
All over 12:54 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to experiences of a grass hearth in the vicinity of SW 119th Avenue and SW 168th Avenue. On arrival, firefighters identified about 5 acres burning.
To protect close by buildings, the hearth was upgraded to a 2nd-alarm blaze to have further units help in the firefighting endeavours.
Air Rescue was also dispatched to deploy h2o drops to contain the flames. MDFR and the Florida Forest Provider labored jointly to place the fire under management.
At this time, there are no reported accidents and firefighters are staying on-web-site to monitor for incredibly hot spots.
