MIAMI – Tuesday marked 4 yrs considering the fact that a law enforcement pursuit and subsequent shootout claimed the lifetime of a UPS driver in Miramar.
Loved ones and friends gathered at the intersection, exactly where 27-12 months-old Frank Ordonez was killed although caught in a crossfire in between law enforcement and suspected jewelry thieves.
They set up a makeshift memorial with a picture and balloons and lit candles to shell out tribute.
Ordonez’s relatives needs the officers who fired the deadly shots to be held liable.
“Justice ideal now is not in our vocabulary because we dropped a civil match and enchantment… and we are waiting on a grand jury that hasn’t presented us a date. So, there is no justice, as far as we are concerned,” mentioned Joe Merino, Ordonez’s stepfather.
In December of 2019, Ordonez was kidnapped by two guys just after a unsuccessful theft endeavor at a Coral Gables jewellery retail outlet.
The 3 of them, along with a bystander, had been killed when the pursuit ended at Miramar Parkway, in close proximity to Flamingo Highway.
