MIAMI – Zoo Miami officials have quite a few explanations to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

On Thursday, they unveiled new shots of their Sumatran tiger cub, who went through her first neonatal examination.
“On this Thanksgiving, all of us at Zoo Miami are not only grateful for this treasured new everyday living, but for all of the factors that make our zoo household as perfectly as the relaxation of our families and friends so distinctive,” claimed Ron Magill, Zoo Goodwill Ambassador/Communications Director.
“Although the cub seems to be incredibly potent and healthful, these initial handful of months existing the finest worries in any animal’s daily life so she will be very carefully monitored by the Animal Science and Animal Well being Departments to make sure she is meeting all the metrics for continued healthful enhancement.”
Magill said the cub and mom will keep on being off the exhibit for the following number of weeks as they continue on to bond and will sooner or later be launched to the general public.
Zoo officers reported the up coming action will be to give the cub a “swim check” to assure it can navigate the habitat pool and surrounding moat.
