FORT LAUDERDALE – A man accused of sexually battering a woman following threatening to destroy her has been arrested.
Lamont Brandon Mayweather, 37, has been charged with two counts of sexual battery with a lethal weapon, theft with battery, and aggravated assault with a fatal weapon.
The assault occurred September 15, 2023, within the woman’s apartment in the 5900 block of NE 18th Avenue.
In accordance to police, the female was in her bed room all around 7:30 p.m. when Mayweather entered her household through the entrance door, went to the bed room, and jumped on major of her.
Mayweather, who was armed, reportedly threatened to destroy her prior to he sexually battered her. He then ran off down the hallway.
Investigators had been capable to establish him as their primary suspect with the “support of the Broward Sheriff’s Workplace Criminal offense Lab by way of a hit in the FBI’s Combined DNA Index Program (CODIS),” in accordance to a police assertion.
Mayweather, who was arrested on November 3rd, continues to be in custody at the Broward County Most important Jail and is remaining held with no bond.
