HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — The Florida Freeway Patrol shut all but two southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike early Monday following a crash in the Hollywood area.
The wreck transpired at Mile Marker 48 in the southbound lanes just as the early morning commute was shifting into significant equipment, according to FHP.
It was not promptly very clear what led to the crash or the extent of injuries.
Officers closed all southbound lanes immediately following the crash but reopened two of the lanes a small time afterwards..
Motorists had been urged to just take Highway 441 as an alternate.
