PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Dr. Jo-Elle Mogerman started off her new position as the initial girl and to start with Black president and CEO of the Philadelphia Zoo Monday.
Mogerman remembered the strict policies her mom and dad established when she was a boy or girl seeking an animal at home. The South Chicago native was just like the dozens of young children walking the paths and only seeing sure animals while on a industry vacation to the zoo.
Individuals field visits ended up transformational for her when she was a scholar. In its place of rapid visits, she developed a job caring for and training about her preferred creatures.
“Escalating up, my favorite animal – and my favourite animal is nevertheless – a cheetah,” Mogerman reported.
