MIAMI — U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, at the middle of a furor about his position in ousting Speaker Kevin McCarthy, stated he does not prepare to run for governor in 2026.

Speaking to CBS News Miami’s Jim DeFede, the congressman ruled out the probability of searching for Florida’s greatest elected office environment when Ron DeSantis leaves the put up because of term restrictions.
“I’m not managing for governor,” he reported. “I’m precisely where I’m intended to be. I am undertaking just what I’m supposed to be carrying out.”
Matt Gaetz, these days the chief antagonist from McCarthy above paying out laws, has represented a Panhandle district in the U.S. House considering that 2017.
