FORT LAUDERDALE – The Broward County Faculty Board on Tuesday took up two controversial decisions through its meeting Tuesday, narrowly adopting a sex education curriculum but then voting later on to abolish its Assure Application.
The two selections transpired adhering to a heated board assembly in which at least two speakers had been escorted out of the room during the discussion over the sexual intercourse education and learning curriculum.
Equally subject areas have been controversial and at minimum two speakers have been escorted out of the conference adhering to fiery opinions to the board.
Sexual intercourse education and learning curriculum
The board voted 5-4 to to approve the reproductive overall health and condition prevention instruction supplies for all of pupils from kindergarten by way of 12th grade. The vote will now deliver the product to the Florida Department of Instruction for acceptance.
